The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) will lead the nationwide observance of the 24th Depositor Protection and Awareness Week (DPAW) from June 15 to 21, 2026, with activities aimed at strengthening depositor confidence and promoting financial preparedness.

Anchored on the theme of financial preparedness, this year's DPAW highlights the importance of understanding deposit insurance, knowing one's rights as a depositor, and making informed decisions to safeguard hard-earned savings in the banking system.

Throughout the week, the PDIC will conduct information campaigns, school and community outreach programs, and media engagements to raise public awareness on the maximum deposit insurance coverage of P1,000,000 per depositor, per bank.

Partner banks, government agencies, and local government units are expected to join the observance through branch displays, social media campaigns, and coordinated learning sessions for clients and stakeholders.

The PDIC encourages depositors to verify their bank's membership with the Corporation, keep records of their deposits, and promptly update their information with their banks to facilitate faster claim processing when needed.
